Ulyese Calcote was born on July 14, 1970, in Adams County to the late Radie Mae Horton and Ulyeses Tobias. On January 30, 2026, he peacefully left this life to be with the Lord in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Ulyese attended Gloster High School. Later he attended Mississippi Job Corps and completed the welding program. Ulyese accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. Later he worked at the Gloster Chip Mill for a number of years.
Ulyese was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Carl Walker Horton, and other relatives and friends.
Ulyese is survived by his brothers David (Barbara) Calcote, Carlos (Andrea) Horton, Michael Tobias and Fredrick Tobias; Charles Wesco; aunts Norma Smith of Crosby, MS, Bobbie Tobias of Crosby, MS; and a host of other family and friends.
